Just a 3-minute walk from Ogikubo Station’s north exit, you’ll find Temomi Ramen Juhachiban, a classic ramen shop marked by its bright yellow signboard.
Founded in 1966, this long-standing favorite serves up its signature dish: Tokusei Juhachiban (特製十八番).
This bowl features a steaming hot soy sauce-based broth, generously topped with sautéed pork belly, garlic chives, scallions, and a healthy dose of coarsely grated garlic—a powerful punch of flavor in every bite.
The noodles are hand-massaged (temomi) curly yellow noodles, with a chewy texture that clings beautifully to the broth.
🧄 “The rich garlic aroma and savory pork belly melt into the broth—perfect comfort food with stamina!”
Despite having just a small counter seating area, the shop is often packed with locals and ramen lovers, and stays open late into the night.
